Autumn warmth

The sun sends its last rays

Here in Kalkstein and up on the summits, like the Toblacher Pfannhorn and Kreutzspitze, you'll find an extensive larch forest. In October, the larch needles slowly start to turn golden yellow. The last fruits of the bilberry and lingonberry add tiny splashes of color to the terrain alongside the hiking paths. Together with the foliage of trees like the rowan, which turns red, the play of colors in the sunshine under a blue sky is breathtaking.

On the sunny autumn days, the atmosphere on the quiet trails is simply wonderuf. The light is different than in other seasons. The air is fresh, yet warm on the skin.

Even though it's always a bit quieter here than elsewhere throughout the year, autumn is the perfect time for those who appreciate leisure and solitude.
